So technically, this is gonna be a fangirling session. Cuz that’s how much I loved this series. The characters were awesome, the plot was awesome and the guys were awesome.

The series is based on fairytales. If you haven’t guessed yet , the first book, Cinder, is based on Cinderella. But it’s got a twist. Out MC is not a damsel in distress. She is the furthest thing from one – a smart mechanic with a secret. Cinder is a cyborg, living  in New Beijing. One day, Prince Kai, stops by her stall with a broken android and her life changes forever.

I loved the futuristic retelling of the fairytales. The world is really detailed from the ID chips to the netscreens to the androids and cyborgs. Just wow. Sounds so amazing.

Our characters were amazing too. Cinder was tough as only a cyborg can be. She is hated by everyone yet she carries on. My favourite character was Iko, the android. Yeah, you might think “How can an android be cool, they’re machines!” but she was really funny with her blunt observations. If I could have a robot, she would be my first choice. And Prince Kai…he was just the best. He was really sweet and kind to Cinder, even after he finds out that she’s a cyborg/Lunar. Now onto the evil characters. Queen Levana was just pure evil, but awesomely so. But I guess when you have magic or in this case bioelectricity, anyone can be awesome.

Conclusion: If you haven’t read the series GO READ IT NOW!

Still crazy obsessed with High School Musical and is still disappointed real life high school did not involved as much singing and dancing. Almost 18 but relates to 5 year olds. Super cynical about Disney movies and kdramas but still loves them. Blogs about books and feels.
