The wait is over!! I can finally peer into Logan freaking Quinn’s mind!! The Mythos Academy series never lets me down with its cute characters, mythological quirks and sense of humour. I love the mashup of myths and legends from all these different cultures. Its one of my favourite series because of that. BTW if you haven’t read Crimson Frost , stop reading right here cuz the spoilers are coming or if you haven’t read the series, you won’t get a thing.
So, I was pretty excited for this book. Correction: short e-novella (that’s kind of why this isn’t a review). Logan is still in shock after almost killing Gwen, as we can see from his nightmare of it. He’s just so cute, staying away from her because he’s worried that he might hurt her again. Being a noble idiot might keep someone alive, but it just makes me mad because I’m totally rooting for them to finally be with each other as a real couple. Only getting a taste of it in one book isn’t enough.
Logan isn’t moping about Gwen the whole day though and this is where the fighting starts. He goes off on his own little adventure with his dad, Sergei and Inari to kick some reaper ass which he does very well. Then the short story ends on a cliffhanger that just makes us want to get Midnight Frost, the fifth book now (WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO US????).
Well, panda’s done fangirling. If you like reading about mythology then this series is definitely for you. I know you’ll love Logan, Gwen, her friend Daphne, spartan Oliver…. did I mention Logan??
Midnight Frost release date: 30th July 2013
